Shorting stocks with IB

    There are a lot of things I find frustrating about shorting through IB, but this isn't one of them. Of course you have to pay on the current market value. Note that this should work in your favor if you're making money on your position as you should be paying on the falling market value as well.

    Of course, you can't see this since IB doesn't show the detail behind the short interest calculation.

    Is this paid only on overnight position, or do you also get extra fees charged on intraday shorts ?

    You don't pay interest if you only hold intra-day.
