I don't have any position on AAPL and I don't have a plan to open any positio either but if I wanted to go long for long term, I would put an order for $300 good for AH and usually at 4:01 when the report is not out, stock does wild swings and the order might go through.

  2. Dissapointed appl is hovering around 315-320. If it was under 300 it would have been a good trade to go long into earnings.

NQ will still most likely pop after earnings -- we could gap up tomorrow get a little buying and the reverse. That scenario can pay if it plays out.

    Good Luck.

  3. FWIW *if* i wanted to short, I'd try to do so into a post-earnings pop (assuming they don't miss). So many people are betting on the whisper number that anything short of spectacular earnings blowout could see a gap n crap reaction shortly after the numbers.

  5. It's pretty obvious AAPL earnings are going to be gangbusters.

I'd like to see NQ gap up tomorrow around 2120-2130. I think that could be good place to put some shorts on. Maybe sell some month end calls?

The only problem is it seems like a lot of the good news is priced into AAPL so its going to be a little tricky. It might not pop since everyone is long -- and profit taking could come in earlier (since there is no suprise factor ie everyone's expecting a blowout).

  7. I have not read this thread since the first time I posted here because I knew I could not win the war of words with a bunch of idiots hiding behind their workplace cubicles located somewhere in a small boring place in Michigan. However, my price target of $250 per share stands and it will get there no matter what anyone here thinks or believe.

While I wont win the war on words on ET, my price target will be reached as I had outlined in the first post. No, I am not going back to read all 13 pages of this thread. I will come back to this thread when the price reaches $250 per share which should be in the next 30 days. Then I will cover my short position. I was down a little bit on my short, but as of now I am watching a small profit.

retaildaytrader, I am with you on the $250 short, the best days of apple is behind and with the growing competition from every segment they were ruling will bring em down especially the android and the windows7 for the iphone market. I am doubtful if their is anyone to challenge the ipad yet...but yes by the end of this 4th quarter i am hoping the stock to come down to $250-$275

  10. Haven't you been stopped out already though? You can't be short all the time AND be using stops, it's one or the other. If you used stops, you already lost on the trade, let us know what price you got back in and where your new stop is. If you didn't use stops, then you are short from $200 per share like you posted last year, and lost 60% on the trade in the huge run up to 320.

Do let us know which it is, because you aren't getting bragging rights if the stock hits $250 but you got stopped out on the way up, and we aren't letting you claim $250 if you are right, and "I got stopped out at breakeven" if you are wrong.
