    Hi All

I joined the Oscar’s site forum 2 weeks ago

I’m a professional ES trader that use big lot sizes ( 25-50, sometime 100). I simply stated in the forum that I ‘m a trader using these sizes.
Immediately I received a private mail by Oscar saying “…you really plays with so many lots?,… I need friends, etc etc…….” I didn’t reply to him.

Last week for two days I indicated in my post all my trades with precise entry target ( not only price but also time) and, considering my sizes, the result was positive for 10k$. Purpose of this was only to help other traders.
During these days I started to receive from the “crowd “ of Oscar a series of messages with the only scope to disturb my presence in the forum.
Finally I received a private message by Oscar saying to me to don’t post anymore in his forum……..

    My consideration:
    • Technically speaking OMNI is a pure indication of pivots. Stop Loss are too large. Target are ridiculous.
    • Charts showed in the site are simply ridiculous
    • People popolating the forum are divided in 2 parts : Oscar’s friends supporting him ( ie: same agenda) and newbies trying to gain some dollars ( good luck…..)
    • In the forum is not possible to discuss about trades as Oscar diktat is “ if you want discuss about trades , do it in your site………”

I don’t know where a person like this has worked for 25 years, but if this is the approach used with people and business in general, I will not bet one cent about his success in the future….

Stay away from OMNI & Oscar for your ( financial) safe

    Happy trading to all

Oscar's so called 'Traders Den' is mostly for cheerleaders, if you want uncensored discussion that is non-related to the OMNI go to ET or elsewhere, but not there. BTW my thread got totally deleted from the OMNI's forum, I don't hold any sort of grudge against the OMNI team, just thought that it was pretty odd at the time when it happened. I think Oscar himself in a way regrets starting a forum. I mean what is that forum for? What's its purpose? One of Oscar's remarks that shocked me was when he made a comment about his way of trading being a more relaxed way in comparison to trading a 10 minute chart, very true unless you have to be up all night awaiting the next OMNI call. Also, my belief is that Oscar is trying to switch traders to the all-inclusive brokerage service by issuing calls during the time when normal people sleep. OMNI's "more relaxed way" obviously calls for being on call any time of the day. For instance last OMNI came in at 5.05AM Eastern that would be 2.05AM over at the West coast, who in their right mind be awake waiting for an OMNI call, you sleep, all of the sudden your pager goes off "OMNI is GREEN, go to market right here", you fall off the bed telling your wife to be quite, frantically running to your workstation that is on 24/7 now & place that trade & what do you do then? Go back to bed? Yeah, of course you do :)

He could well have been a broker executing client's orders coming in from the clerk, there is no decision making just orders to fill at specific prices.

I think one of the reasons why pit traders struggle with electronic is because they do not get to see fear in the eyes of other traders any more, trading in the pit has a lot to do with psychology & perhaps poker ie bluffing, how do you learn how to miaow after years & years of barking? Not an easy task to say the least.

My gut tells me & this is highly speculative bit of thought process is that Oscar has been analysing charts vs orders that came in from the firm's clients. What better way to learn TA trading if not by direct comparison? So in a way he would hold certain statistics in regards to when would smart money turn to being buyers from previously being sellers etc. After all how many times can Leo Melamed be wrong? :)

  5. I'm soooooo misunderstood!!!!! :D

I detest dishonesty and have zero patience for lunacy. I simply called a spade a spade. I note you admit oscar is a cheat and that omni-one is spamming, yet you accuse me of whining for stating just that. Furthermore, if you truly believe his calls are "good," you should quit now while you are ahead and find a job that doesn't require any thought.

Your view of oscars financial status and motive is myopic at best. It seems you've been taught what to think rather than how to think. Jim Jones......Google it.

Nonetheless, it has come to my attention that those trying to make me the issue are the ones who need oscar and company to wipe their nose for them. Thanks for exposing which camp you are in.

  6. Thanks for sharing. I've heard from a few others with simular experiences. It seems oscar is indeed soliciting money behind the scenes.

  7. Hi Volente.

I see what you are saying, but, market conditions change it's that simple, he was protecting profits.

Short term trading with Oscar will survive, it's a nailed on cert. Stealth trader will get bored with his slander and jealousy, and we'll all get on with what we are doing.

    Good trading.

See, the point is the word "advertising". First of all, the fact he is advertising would make it automatically a spammer, at least according to my definition. And that's quite annoying.
That said, I have nothing against Oscar. If he wants to run his site with his videos he's absolutely free to do it, I don't care. If he or one of his friends wants to post a link here that's okay too. But why do I have to be continuously reminded that there is this clown posting his videos? I don't care. And I especially don't care about his fantastic results and the great calls he makes. That's pure spamming.
At the end I don't die if Oscar, or someone on his behalf, keeps bothering me with his posts. But what the hell, he is not even an ET sponsor.
