Short-term trading with Oscar

Discussion in 'Professional Trading' started by cgtrader, Jan 18, 2007.

  1. "In summary, Oscar, leaves a lot of money on the table."

What kind of idiotic statement is this?

This must be from an inexperienced trader, or simply someone without anything better to say!

There's absolutely tons of money on the table, can anyone take it all?

    Stop...Entry...Exit.

Fit these into the daily market parameters and away you go. You've got to have a clearly defined and realistic target area in the markets or you are dead meat.

What Oscar does is exactly this.

    Nuff said already.

  2. "wasn't sure what happened..."

    "Exactly. On both sides."

What exactly are you unable to comprehend? Oscar posted that he was long at a price BELOW the lowest print at that time.

"As for you stealth trader, here's some college wording for you: septupal posts for the win!! Seriously, I'm really glad you are into prediction. How about trying to predict some market tops for us?"

As x-ogre's non sequitur clearly demonstrates, nothing sways the stupid more than an argument they simply can't understand.

    Enough said.

  4. LMAO at spammer weenie-one. Your invitation would be akin to going to your mama's and asking her if you are a sweet little boy!!!

  5. Perhaps the truth upsets him. :)

He's a poser, pure and simple.

Songs of praise will most likely continue as long as the service remains free, let's see what happens when service becomes premium based or indeed just open to Oscar's clients exclusively.

Explain 25 years of floor trading for us. You don't just tread water in the pit for that long, you either go big or go home early in the game depending on how deep your pockets are. And that is what is weird about this whole gig, you don't last in the pit being a breakeven or losing trader. Maybe he made his money front running and once electronic started it took his edge away. Perhaps Obi Won can have Oscar come to ET and clear this up for us.

The point is in many of his calls, both targets are almost dead on yet he does not remain disciplined and stick to his plan. Such as yesterday when he said short at 1492.5 and with a target of 1482 yet he closed the position much higher before it fell to his target.

Stealth Trader, you're really coming off as an obsessed whiner here. Yea, obi_won is kind of advertising his site and maybe Oscar cheated an entry by a tick or two. But the fact is that he's offering a free service that is making good calls. Whether it eventually turns into a subscription site or what Oscar's personal financial situation is is irrelevant to that fact. Right now he's helping people make money and learn about futures trading.

You sound like you have something personal against Oscar. If you think his calls are so bad, feel free to set up your own free market call service and we'll be glad to compare the results.
