People: Aside from contacting your broker the morning of trading, how can one tell which stocks have "Short Restrictions" on them? Is there a internet page that's regularly updated? Thanks in advance.
Carterofmars, Try this site; it may be what you are looking for: http://www.shortsqueeze.com/ I hope this helps. Tom P.S. How's the weather up there?
On IB's TWS you can add a column that will show bright green if a stock is at least 1000 shares shortable, dark green if the stock is shortable if shares can be found, or red if it is not shortable.
Incidently, locatable shares, successfully shorted, doesn't prevent you from a buy-in ANY point open. A possibility given your concern.
