With the huge rally since the early March lows, I thought it would be good to list a few interesting stock picks from the short side (or buying puts). Let's contribute one idea each and see what pops up. I'll start with COF - with the economic backdrop I'd say credit card companies look weak and are probably the next domino to fall. The stock has quadrupled in 2 months, and has spiked 50% in the last 3 days, showing signs of capitulation by current shorts.
I think long on the FAZ (financial short) would be a good play right now. Many people who attempted to go long FAZ have gotten burned very bad. I think it's safe now.
