the thread is meant to discuss the true value of various internet companies (and their relative values). feel free to discuss other major internet players as well. i start by posing the question whether Facebook is a real competition to Google. p.s. i realize that the poll is hypothetical at this stage.
I do not think Facebook can copy GOOG's basic business model. It will still be social networking site with possible advertising revenue and all. Goog will dominate the search space. With GOOG / YAHOO/ BING in this market, Facebook can probably pray on YAHOO/ BING share more that GOOG's. I would look to short YAHOO instaead of GOOG, when you put risk and reward in prospective.
