My models for the DAX and ESTX50 are still showing strong bullishness after Tuesdays action. Tuesday's up move was pretty pretty efficient so it appears to me that the shorts have packed up and gone home for the time being. My models are suggesting that this move is only half completed so it's now highly likely we will see the FDAX take out last week's high this week. 100 points to the upside from Tuesday's close is a distinct possibility from here. I will add to my long position tomorrow at any price below Tuesday's close if I get the opportunity. The market internals are suggesting that Thursday's Euro leaders meeting will be positive for the markets. Runningbear
Today's action (Wednesday) on the FDAX is all up as expected. Yesterday's close offered a great buy entry today. I don't think we'll see much resistance until 7300. We may get there today or maybe tomorrow.
It looks like accumulation phase started, I bought back fdax. I guess there may be pull back to sub 7200 levels but overall picture is so bullish.
i think eu markets volatility will increase in months/years and create opportunities for trading. I am not siding whether eu will fail or prosper. Remeber volkswagen episode. These us hedge funds funded expansion and vw now doing really well thanks to them. Who says hedge funds are not useful eurchf is the problem and now at extreme is sucking cash out of eu economy. also inter eu help creates issues. If say hungary lends to greece 10b at 8% and market ask for 30%, means hungary effevtively gave away 22% or 2.2b per year. I do not think this is accounted for in official figures. china clearly involved and guys have lots of cash to step in to get some sort of inroads in eu in exchange for buying some debt. and there are russians too. Often underestimated but powerful force.
Macroman, The Dax has always been a great trading market. At least for the last 10 years while I've been following it. For those interested in what Thursday will bring, my models are still very bullish for both the DAX and ESTX50. In fact, they are more bullish than they were when we made last week's high. So I'm expecting more strength Thursday and possibly Friday. I will keep you all updated. Runningbear
