  1. - closed part of 7000 Dec calls, small notional but 200% return

    - made one mistake today, went long dax and shorted ftse at wrong time and gave somebody 18 points.

I wonder how long this rally will last...

  2. John Taylor, founder of FX Concepts LLC, the world’s biggest foreign-exchange hedge fund, forecast the euro region will enter a recession next year and the euro will weaken as the debt crisis worsens.

“The risk that Spain and Italy will get into trouble is going to cause the euro to get quite weak,” Taylor said today at the Hedge Funds New York conference hosted by Bloomberg Link. Investors should sell German stocks because efforts by governments to cut back spending will hurt the region’s economy next year, he said.

  4. A friend of mine is trading the Dax Futures and he says there is a lot of slippage as most trades are 1-5 contracts. Is this correct? I find it hard to believe.

  5. That´s not true. You can easily find 20-50 lots per side. Fast market is a different story, though.

  6. In not more than 1 month time, there will be a lot of mutual fund and other fund manager cry babies for not selling their stuff "at the highs" of the year.

    Hi ASusilovic,

Unless something changed over the last few years. Trading even 5 lots with market orders would usually result in small slippage, and i am talking about normal market conditions. I was trading DAX with very short time horizon (my trades mostly lasted 1 to few min).
