Old conservatives can still count sins but they’ve forgotten how to weigh. Apples to apples argument? They can’t tell an apple from a grain of rice, but they’ll die on the hill of both.

So Trump had his appointee at the Housing Agency make the referral to the DOJ.

This is simply how Trump operates to drive retribution against those who investigate his crimes.

  3. What if the facts support a prosecution? Do you support that or is Letitia James above the law?

A grand jury can decide whether sufficient facts and cause exist to proceed further. You okay with that?

The facts don't support the prosecution -- especially since all the facts and associated documentation have been readily available via the media in deep detail for weeks now.

This is nothing more than Trump retribution.

  5. Thanks for sharing but the grand jury can decide whether sufficient facts exist if the prosecutors want to go forward.

Also, you had no problem with the fact that the facts did not support her prosecution of Trump. She valued Mar-A-Largo based on some number she pulled out of her arse. Absolutely no, zilch, evidence that it was the lowball number she came up with. None. You could buy a doghouse in Trump's neighborhood there for the value she place on it. But you were and still are all in favor of ramming that through the process. Giddy up then. Let's go with this case.

In addition, my question to you was not what you think the facts are. It was whether you supported prosecuting her if the facts support it. Of course we know the answer to that, don't we. ie. she is above the law.

The judge quoted the tax assessment value, which is not the same as market value..James had nothing to do with this and Engoron was clear that he was not independently assessing the market value. This (low tax assessment value) is because of multiple factors such as it being registered as a social club not a residence. A severe restriction Trump ignored in his sky high valuations.

Treefrog is as usual, a moron.

MAGA loyalists can’t seem to hold two numbers in their heads at once. Trump claimed Mar-a-Lago was worth $600+ million when it suited him and $18 million when it came time to pay taxes. The judge didn’t make that up. That’s Trump snitching on himself in his own filings.

There reason prosecuting is that Trump broadcasted all of this in public as a flex and that's how the law works. People announcing their crimes get prosecuted because they are a walking example, begging to be made to discourage copycats.

New York’s Attorney General can’t possibly be this stupid…

According to a criminal referral from the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Letitia James allegedly committed mortgage fraud by deliberately falsifying records to obtain favorable loan terms on multiple properties.

James purchased a property in Norfolk, Virginia in August 2023, and on her mortgage applications, she declared the Virginia property as her primary residence. Primary residences qualify for lower interest rates, better loan terms, and other programs not available to investors or non-primary homeowners.

The only problem— she was serving as the Attorney General of New York, a role that legally requires her to maintain primary residence in New York State.

You’d think the top legal official in the State of New York would know that. Duh. You’d also think she wouldn’t be so stupid as to commit the same fraud that she had put Trump on trial for.

But apparently she is that stupid. And her transgressions don’t stop there.

Letitia James also allegedly misrepresented a five-unit Brooklyn property as having only four units; real estate investors know this is an important distinction, since four-unit buildings qualify for better loan terms, while five or more are treated as commercial real estate, which carries stricter loan rules and repayment terms.

In previous mortgage applications dating back to the 1980s and 2000s, James said that her father was actually her husband. Bizarre? Well, given that Ms. James was officially single at the time, pretending that she was married (even to her dad!) qualified her for joint ownership benefits and more favorable lending conditions.

So, in short, we have mail fraud. Bank fraud. Making false statements to a financial institution. People regularly get years in prison for these offenses.

Letitia James reduced her mortgage payments and gained access to financing she otherwise wouldn’t have qualified for, by providing false information on official documents… which is quite similar to what she convicted Donald Trump of doing.

Prove it and prosecute (oh and JAIL) . That's the difference between team Trump and team decent people.
