Horribly bad interview, and yet, Shkreli can't hide to display all his greed, hypocrisy, and lies. I don't even find him intelligent and I don't get how some invested money with him. He is definitely slick and gluey but he does not appear all too smart, rather stupid in that he is entirely ruled and controlled by his pride and arrogance. Worst poker player ever, watch and see...
Hilarious, the blind leading the blind. The one who fucked up every investment he was entrusted with is trying to educate some random kids about stock investing. Lmao.
In post #74 i'm referring to the charges relating to investor fraud, and illustrate that it is going to be difficult for the prosecution to prove that there was intent to defraud. As per the comments made in post #73 You try and dismiss my post by claiming that the numbers I've provided don't add up, when they are the "numbers" that Ms Hassan has testified to. Once you realize that, you then try and dismiss it by making out that I don't seem to understand the case, and pull up some "alleged" conversation between Hassan and Shkreli that took place at a dinner in 2011- Which has nothing to do with the numbers I provided for Ms Hassan's investment returns. I think it's pretty clear that you're the one who doesn't understand what the prosecution must to do get a guilty verdict. Comments like this demonstrate how idiotic you are. Please Keep your personal fantasies to yourself
You conflate numbers. That stock she received appreciated in value and that she ended up generating a return on her investment has nothing to do with this case. He intentionally defrauded investors and shareholders when he multiple times emptied the coffers of one company and moved remaining funds into another company without shareholder and investor consent. That is a criminal violation and he did it intentionally. That is an established fact. Even Madoff did not intentionally want to make investors worse off. That there are a few investors in Shkreli's case that were at the end not worse off adds zero value to his defense when he made multiple investors worse off and defrauded them and diverted funds illegally to other entities. Even if all investors were better off he still acted with criminal intent by illegally diverting funds from one entity into another. In any case he is actually just a small time crook. Look at his miserable little apartment and that tells you all that he is anything but a self made millionaire. Even my apartment in a much more expensive district looks larger and way better. I am pretty sure he will leave this entire episode behind him without a single cent in his pocket.
Macca is not going to get it, you might as well give up. I stopped reading him. Shkreli is a narcissist just like Trump and Macca acts like a Trump supporter, no point in trying to reason with them with facts and logic and you know, the LAW... Actually, being a narcissist as a psychological condition could be a valid legal defense. Not the born this way, but the hey, he is not completely right upstairs... A Narcissist's Prayer That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did... You deserved it.
This is more than just funny, there are actually two different guys both called Martin Shkreli on trial in the same court: http://nypost.com/2017/06/29/judge-amused-by-having-two-martin-shkrelis-in-federal-court/ "A federal judge in Brooklyn got a kick out of the fact that a defendant named Martin Shkreli appeared before him in court on Thursday — as “America’s most hated man” Martin Shkreli was standing trial in the same courthouse on securities fraud charges. “Is his name also Martin Shkreli? Is that name common in that community?” chuckled Judge Steven Gold to court clerks. The lesser-known Shkreli, 59, was hauled into court for his alleged role in a money-laundering scheme that trafficked drugs and weapons, including an M80 Zolja anti-tank rocket launcher and 15 AK-47s from Kosovo. The resident of upstate Bedford is accused of cutting “clean checks” used in the laundering scam that ensnared nine others."
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/05/judg...to-stop-commenting-on-trial-around-court.html "...prosecutors who sought to have Shkreli gagged from talking about the case revealed that Shkreli's defense team several times had approached prosecutors about potentially resolving the case with a guilty plea to avoid going to trial. Prosecutors said that fact, disclosed for the first time in Brooklyn, New York, federal court, contradicted Shkreli's claim to journalists last week that he never considered a plea offer. The terms of that offer, which presumably would have reduced Shkreli's punishment at sentencing, were not revealed."
Why did this guy actually get so much attention? I guess the only reason is because he jacked up prices on aids patients. Otherwise this guy is just an unimportant small time Schmuck who lives in a shit can and will soon transfer into even a shittier can. The more I hear about this guy in the news the more irrelevant and small-time he appears to be. A guy with a totally overblown ego. I even question the slightest scientific knowledge of biology, chemistry, or pharmacy. Small time crook who thinks he is something special. I also doubt he actually has any wealth whatsoever.
He got so much attention because of his attitude. The guy lives on the moon of EGOISTE. It's one of the moons of the planet DUNCAREABOUTYOUBUGGEROFF.
But isn't that the problem?why do get idiots in the US so much attention? Why does sensationalism attract people that much? Is it that their own lives are that boring? The Kardashians or whatever they are called (never watcher a single show just hear them mentioned everywhere) are one such example. Since when has stupidity and the sheer drive for self actualization of others robbed people off their sleep and free time? The only explanation I live with is that people are inherently lazy and that improving one's own life is harder than just sitting and watching TV or browsing Facebook. A pity really.
