Yeah, most equity benchmarks that are open now, and those that are not but have futures open are rallying (at least off the bottom). The PBOC and the securities regulator released a new batch of “measures” to stabilize the market. Honestly, it doesn’t matter what I think, but I consider this benchmark and the whole Chinese (mainland, not HK or TW) market a joke at this point. They have 40% of the market suspended, and go read some of those measures – the benefits of a state-run economy I suppose. Furthermore, the last few rounds of “measures” and interest rate cuts didn’t do anything, this might all reverse back down in the next few days – heck, the way this market trades, it might sink before today’s trading day is done!
Yep, the whole thing is mostly a farce... I wouldn't be surprised if the govt has amped up the firepower behind the scenes. They will be kicking and screaming before this thing drops another 15%. Actually they'll just shut the entire market down for some BS reason before that. Shame, same nonsense as the Fed, only worse.
Interesting too that these opened hot and heavy... down, massively up, and now volume is basically tumbleweeds. Usually trading is happening right even up to lunch, but not right now it isn't.
I think I might just go ahead and call it quits on the A50 and just pretend this little foray into a foreign futures market never happened LOL. In the famous words of Lil Wayne..."Ain’t ’bout what you walk away from, it’s ’bout what you walk away with"..lol I accept the defeat
Back to back days of +15% moves. Just sick. Any competent pros trading 100 lots on this thing are making a killing.
Got with the program and went long after being in the red from biased wanna-be-right shorting earlier in the session... Tried to take a gimmick trade right before it went limit up expecting saturation into the limit. It dropped quickly at one point which basically backfired on me. Held through it up into a liquidity zone to hit PTs. How would I change my trading of this today? Get rid of the opinionated short bias when the setup was apparent from the beginning of the day.
