My instinctive reaction, also - but I suppose not necessarily: a few years of glancing through trading forums has taught me that whatever you find, there really are some people who are that naive.
The whole point of moving to Mexico (beside the weather) is that you don't have to be very rich to live there. Also plenty of ex-pat safe communities there...
Here i thought it was Spain. People from Europe move there to for lower cost of living. Fairly safe and warm. ( I think they even have sewers and clean water ) If you want to live cheap its cool, all along the states on the southern border is warm. You can find plenty of cheap ways to live. A nice double wide trailer comes to mind. Saving money for the loss of security is not a safe gamble.
Well in OP's defense he wasn't talking about moving to Mexico to live, just to set up a business. I'm curious what OP's motivations are to start a venture like a hedge fund in Mexico particularly.
I'd wait out the presidential elections at least. The left will more than likely take it and I expect a lot of gringo hate due to Trump.
It's pretty widely recognized that John McAfee at the very least has some serious mental health issues. His case is in no way representative of the experience of the thousands of expats who happily and safely live in Latin America. Including Mexico which, by the way, is a big country that isn't all like Juarez any more than the U.S. is all like south central LA.
Does John McAfee have serious mental health issues, or does serious mental health issues have John McAfee?????????!!!
