Lol...yeah ok. Whatever you say. I am a trader. Believe what you want. I think you would be better off calling your group "Serious Douchebags"

Makes absolutely no difference what timeframe, so long as it has an open, high, low, close, then all have same market principles. And using "squiggly lines" is one of a few how I entry in long term stocks, entering right on a moving average, been using it for 38 years on weekly bars, and after awhile, really don't matter where you get in long term so long you have rules for risk management. Having medium moving average allows for deep enough retracements. Volume to me is good for few bars or alert the end is near.

Yea, there are many useless posts.

I like gardens, it is away from stresses of trading, stresses of living, and when done, you have something beautiful and maintain it, it is quiet time.

    Bit confusing, so.

The reply to LF was in relation to reading charts, where he said "very few know how to read price without charts", to which I replied "it all depends on what timeframe you are trading - if you need to know".

What I meant was - if you are trading the 30 min bar, then, you need to know how to read the chart correctly, as moves on the 30 are not the same as moves on the 30 sec!

Price is price, and is the same across all charts - but as different traders use different timeframes for entering and exiting, you have to know the differences, and the best way to know the difference, is, well, I am not saying, as if you got hold of that you would wipe out all the big shots in Wall St with your automated trading team:D

All I will say, is, the best way has nothing to do with squiggly lines, ma's, bands, cci. or any mathematical compilation of previous price movements - well, that is not really true, there is some math involved, but it is so simple a child can do it!

In the long run, it is easy make money once you stay in the game - in the short term, the smarter you get, the more you can make in less time!

You can skin a cat more ways than one, but very few can actually skin a cat!

Well, as I am after getting the software from 2007 working, I think the serious traders group might be on hold for a bit.

I am going back to the owner and see if he is interested in developing the software again, which he might well be now?

KP made me think of something in another thread tonite - hey presto, the engine fired up - running on 2 cylinders, but first time running since 2007.

As Father Jack says, I am one "Happy Camper":D
