If someone has a bunch of Finra licenses. Example series 7, 55,63 and goes and trades at a firm that only requires a Series 56. After 2 years will the 7, 55, 63 expire? Or are the still good because you are register at a CBOE firm with 56?

    Thanks for any info....

just have the new firm register you, pay the fees and be done... otherwise, you have 2 years before they expire..

55 and 63 will expire not sure about 7 i.e depends on the diligence of your firm.

So its best to find a firm that takes the 7. Stay away from the ones that you only need the 56.

  5. The s56 is a requirement for CBOE firms; However, if you have a s7, you can bypass the 56. The firm will have to register your series 7 with their firm and that will qualify you for an exemption from the s56.
