what do you even need a series 56 for? i couldn't figure it out from a simple google search. hopefully i don't need one, the firm i'm with hasn't said anything about one so far. i have no license and just trade cbot treasury futures (i lease a seat at the cbot and have been a member for > 6 years). i also have an account with interactive brokers where i speculate on some options on futures... anyone know if i'll have to get one of these?
