Series 3 Registered

  1. Hi,

I'm 21 years old and am Series 3 certified. I would still like to work at a market making firm or maybe even a proprietery trading firm (stocks or futures) when I get out of college.

If I mentioned that I am Series 3 certified in my resume or cover letter, would firms look down on that?

    Thanks for any input.

  2. It could be a teeny tiny bit detrimental because the Series-3 is generally needed for sales, not trading. You should reveal that you have it. It'll show up if a firm does a background check on you and your financials.

  3. Thanks for your response.

Could I still have my Series 3 license and practice with it, and still nr at a trading firm?

  4. ?!?..........nr? Enn Arr? Whatever.--------Ask the compliance people at the firms you're applying to how they feel about you being a "multi-tasker".

  5. When they see on my resume that I have a Series 3, do you think they would pass on the application?

    Maybe I'm just being paraonoid.....lol.
