  1. So you know he is not a racist?

Yep, I am sure you know what all politicans say behind closed doors, and how they really think....

  2. Oh there is definitely a difference between 'political correctness' (I'm against pc by the way. ie: profiling, etc...) and a down right ehthic slur.
Here's the definition of macaca / macaque

Since his mom is French Tunisian where the the word is commonly used as a slur, It's not far fetched to assume that it was used around the house in his youth. It's pretty obvious from the clip that he was degrading the guy.

Lastly, I've become somewhat of a political junkie in the last 5 years, and imo this guy thinking he'll make it to the highest office in the nation is really quite funny.

George Allen well be one of the front runners in the race for the 2008 Rebuplican nomination. Take it to the bank. The reason this story gets so much play is because the liberals have been very good at exploiting an off the cuff remark into "racism". It's so much easier that talking about issues. Just call your opponent a racist. What a powerful word. Never mind that Robert Byrd goes on TV talking about niggers. Or Hillary at a speech calling the local gas station owner "Mahatma Ghandi". Or Jesse Jackson and "hymietown".

I guess it's understandable. Considering the dearth of electable condidates on the other side, the best hope they have is to sling mud.

  4. Jesus, Lord... Why is this country so polarized? I really care to understand, I really do. Amen.

It is what it is. I don't care what politcal party he represents. I really don't care. They both suck. As do those that only want Kool-aid at a blind-folded taste test challenge.

  5. Come on guys George Allen was never a serious candidate for president. He is nothing but a jerk-off pretender with a big checkbook. The comment was careless and racist, but was nothing compared to the White Ni--er blast by our favorite democrat. There are racists on both sides and they all should be voted out.

I think it is nuts that Blacks pretty much make it evident that they don't like Caucasians and the Caucasians are supposed to be so nicey nice.

I bet the the comment was planned and carefully chosen. he need the publicity and now this might make him a front runner.

Most republican hate pc crap and could give shit if some democrats are agitated, in fact the base likes it.

if this is his only problem he will parlay it into the presidency.

he is hoping it keeps making the news, it is good for him.

  8. 100% spot on!

He had heard that slur his whole life....he knew damn well what it meant.

To try to spin it any other way is laughable. But I would expect nothing less from him.

What I find to be the ultimate of irony, is when evolutionists act as if they are offended when someone is compared to monkeys.

How about this: "Go back to where you came, ... the Primordial Soup!"

Offended? .... Is my political career over before it began?

You can't make stuff up, you really can't.

You're grossly underestimating the stupidity of the Republican voter base. They're much more stupid than what you're giving them credit for. Waving a cross and shouting Hallelujah is about all it takes to get their votes.
