  1. Can someone explain to me how we are supposed to have a vibrant economy if we are paying people not to work?

  2. "Overspending => Financial Oblivion"... A common theme throughout history.... excess spending on military being the most common example. Too bad we don't have the quality of leadership to recognize and prevent this for the USA...

  3. The point you are missing is that with Paygo rules, all new spending, including bailouts and military spending, will have to be paid for elsewhere. What Bunning is doing is trying to close the "emergency spending" loophole. Let's see what the senate decides to cut to pay for this.

The only way to have a vibrant economy is to pay all the millions of unemployed benefits so the economy can still thrive. This economy is only moving along because of stimulus, without that we would be in a depression now rather than a recession.

  5. Yup, there is no middle way, the only way to actually balance social and millitary spending is to be a communist state.

  6. Sad but true. Maybe the US is just forestalling the inevitable. We will have to wait 5 years after the fact so we can all pontificate like geniuses.

  7. And just like that Jim Bunning falls over, vomits, shits his pants, admits that he's turd on wheels and acquiesces to reason and then adjourns to go get another bourbon and watch a basketball game.

  8. Pull your head outa your ass.

Congress passed a bill, recently, that no money will be given unless it's accounted for. So let me guess...you probably pay very little tax, and I highly doubt you'r of any "Wealth".

Because if you are...where do you think the money is gona come from? THIN AIR.

What the the Senator is doing, is what most of the East Coast states, IL included, and CA are gona have to do down the road.

Yes, it isn't fun for those unemployed and one can feel bad for such a situtaion. But if you'r so hell bent for the "Layed Off", why don't you take your supposed "Winnings" in the "Trading World" and offer them to those who need it more than you? Show some balls and pull out your ck book and right that state a ck to be given to their Unemployed.... Yea right....that is what I thought.

Sorry folks, game over for the "Endless" bank account. I pulled in 40k in Feb and you wana know how much I got to keep? I took home about 23K...rest went to TAXES!

And next year, if I continue on this track...i will be paying near 41% of my commissions to the US GOV.

So, I have run out patience.

If you read the whole story on the Senator, what he say's makes logical sense....he thinks like a capitalist and a man who has a good Financial Head on his shoulders.

For all of you in favor of Socialism/Progressivism....why don't you buy a one way ticket to the EU or UK? Leave this country to those who believe in Capitalism, Freedom to persue Happiness and democracy?

  9. Ah ... the redfaced squealing rant of a first time taxpayer. They are as plain as the nose on your face.

I'm guessing you were in junior high when Clinton and his Republican congress raised the top marginal rate to 39.6?
