So theyhad a marriage law for 200 years and a state constitution for 250 years and suddenly 4 judges out of 7 discover that it's been unconstitutional all these years and no one knew. This decision is the biggest judicial joke since Roe v. Wade and anyone with any legal background knows it. It is judicial law-making, pure and simple, and yes, that is scary because you can alwys vote out a legislature that makes silly laws but you can't with 4 nutcase, powermad judges.
Or provided the religion in question is Islam. Then liberals really pull out all the stops. Read a paper lately (NY Times for example)? Tell me Islam isn't the only religion the media has any respect for. At precisely the time when Islamism is the greatest ideological threat facing the western world, too. Wonderful.
Would it be like living under the personal "interpretations" of the constitution that liberal justices routinely engage in?
Newsflash bongrider: they already had the right to marry. To marry a woman, that is. Afterall, that is precisely what marriage has always meant.
