Those damn slime balls! McCain and Rubicon included.

Senators on Tuesday rejected building the 700 miles of double-tier border fencing Congress authorized just seven years ago, with a majority of the Senate saying they didn’t want to delay granting illegal immigrants legal status while the fence was being built.

The 54-39 vote to reject the fence shows the core of the immigration deal is holding. The vote broke mostly along party lines, though five Republicans, including Sen. Marco Rubio and the rest of the bill’s authors, voted against the fence, and two Democrats voted for it.

Republicans had offered the fence as a way to build the confidence of voters skeptical that the government will enforce its laws, but opponents said building more fencing is costly, would take too long, and shouldn’t be dictated by Washington.

“I think we should leave that to the best judgment of the Border Patrol,” said Sen. John McCain, one of the eight senators who wrote the immigration bill.

Really disappointed with Rubio. He let those scumbags (Schumer, McCain, Graham, etc...) ruin a promising career. He was intentionally brought in to be destroyed. So long Rubio, we hardly knew ye. [IMG]

He let it happen to himself. How could he not realize amnesty will destroy the Republican party? And, amnesty without closing the border first? Political suicide unless he plans to switch parties.

I expect to hear Christie announce his switch any time after his re-election.

sure why would the senate protect the country from terrorists or illegal aliens?

its not like the took an oath to preserve and protect.

they took a peronal oath to have money put in their offshore accounts in exchange for their treason.

    Consider how dumb Americans are:

Over 6 million anonymous people (illegals) entered the US since 2001.

Most of the drugs enter the US over the unsecured Mexican border.

America has been at war with terrorists for 12 years, who intend to smuggle terrorists and WMD's over the border.

Since 911, the Congress, Senate and Executive REFUSE to secure the Mexican border. Meanwhile, they create a surveillance state and gut liberties AT HOME.

What do I conclude from this?

DC are traitors and Americans are dumb as dogshit.

Toss 47% of voters a free cookie and they will look the other way.

Even if 90% of the other 53% get pissed about it - it's not enough to override the 47% who are free cookie munchkins.

AKA. The end of the American experiment. It's all down hill from here.
