More to the point: you don't need to beat the market. You just need to stay ahead of the guy who is dumber than you. This might sound trite on the surface, but think about it and let it sink in.

Even more to the point: market doesn't care whether you make money or not on a daily basis. But as the above poster mentioned, it will make damn sure that you fail in the end. How will they do this? They set up TRAPS. This also might sound trite, but think hard on it and this too will sink in.

Have been thinking more about this, why don't you create a crypto coin and then list it with an exchange, now most exchanges charge $100,000s plus but there are some that deal specifically with trading who can also create the coin, one comes to mind where you can mark to market such as USD with relevant NAV updates.

Can send you a link to an entity already doing exactly this at 3-5% and 7-10%pa returns with hourly and daily NAV updates (there are higher returns profiles using the same architecture), in turn you can provide this to the prop firm to invest, you keep 100% control of source code.

Another approach is a crypto arbitrage system which worked at 1sec, 10sec and up timeframes with 20% timeframe latency to placing the offset trades, 1-2sec at the fastest level which was converted from forex/futures arbitrage, works best on altcoins with smaller capital, it was worth $100,000s plus as it could out trade Binance, but was closed leased for 20% of that with you providing the ongoing yearly maintenance at 20% again, plus daily trading support for a fixed fee, with option to buy the source, if they lose interest you have your answer.

Obviously you lose the source code but the chance of them paying full price, say $1mil is more or less zero minus however many months you lose in the process. This is based on experience of people actually having done it like this, it's simply that one in the hand is better than two in the bush. As with all good trades, you let them come to you rather than how the rest of the world does it, chase the trade!

There are many more numbers, but private fund is 30-50%pa as friends, family, employees, family office can push to 70-100%pa, it’s all about trust and duration of vision, what did LTCM in was they provided 40%pa to accredited, basically public fund which has 20%pa limits, non starter for the markets, and so it ended.

Second part absolutely spot on, first part not exactly, the markets have the liquidity namely via institutions, the problem today, the market is at sovereign level, this means you can have a 100% move and 200% inversion, GBPUSD the past week.

Even the institutions are suffering because the politicians need liquidity, if you look at Bloomberg you can see funds closing and returning capital, very few in the world can trade at sovereign level, and it’s a tough call to set the boundaries to protect the fund returns with those whipsaws.

True, against your peers it used to be 1-2% per month, today it’s half that, but if you get sucked in to Sovereign it’s game over, unless of course you have the architecture and methodology at that level, which no one has ;)

  8. How does this happen? Do you have a concrete example?

Taking the sentence alone smells of conspiracy theory.

Not challenging the statement or anything of that sort. Just want to understand.

  9. What do you mean by this more specifically and by "politicians need liquidity"?

These are 2 intriguing sentences. I'd love to learn more.

Amazing how this thread drifted away from the topic. From speculation what the strategy is, to crypto coins and conspiracy theories. Wow!

I hope by now OP understands he should *never* give out his source code or the binaries. They can look at the forward test report if they like.

It is a shady, dishonest, greedy industry. Beware!
