As we speak there is a new crypto coin born every day or so . You can bet there will be more advanced coins to come . Surely the big names will have their own coins unless this is just a fad .
Old versions of these operating systems and mobiles are worthless . Same will happen to Bitcoin . Now in this time and age what kind of sloppy transaction that takes hours - Bitcoin transaction - will be acceptable . For God's sake PayPal and credit cards take seconds to accomplish a transaction . Current crypto technology looks outdated already and impractical with all this useless electricity consuming and mining . And even if Bitcoin network is here to stay that doesn't warrant the current parabolic prices . Tech prices go down not up .
You fail at differentiating software from hardware. For a clue, look at windows running on a dos backbone or OSx on a unix kernel.
Plenty! Bitcoin is based on difficulty of getting a matching hash as the number of cases/zeroes increases. Revolutionary? Hardly. As a graduate with emphasis on IT security and solid grounding in mathematics, I am appalled that is all it took to create a 'value' that rose 300,000 times in 9 years. Maybe for the next crypto, why don't we aim to 'mine' for the next perfect numbers - A perfect number is a number that is the sum of its divisors (excluding itself). Example 6 is a perfect number because 6 = 1 + 2 +3, sum of its divisors(factors). These numbers are numerous, and possibly finite; also difficulty of getting them computationally increases as the numbers mined increases. There goes the next bitcoin, and hey I can mine the first few of them for free for myself: 6, 28, 496, 8128.
Appalled? Don't you get it. That's the idea. Crypto is sort of the Donald Trump of money. So ridiculous you have to embrace it. Yes, I invented this. My talents are truly wasted here.
Bitcoins are not made out of thin air. There is mining process involved. Maybe you will have better understanding if you read bitcoin whitepaper. It is no joke & not fake news.
Who gives a shit how they are created. That's a smokescreen to impress the millennial metrosexuals. BTC would be NO DIFF if they were simply issued and serialized like paper currency . Prove me wrong
First off, let me just say that actually buying or selling cryptocurrency on an exchange is super easy.
