My criteria are the following: 1. Float- Under 100 million shares outstanding, but preferably under 50 million. 2. Growth- Over 100% year over year growth, but preferably as high as possible. 3. Charting patterns- High success chart patterns in bullish formations with an obvious upwards trend. 4. Average True Range- As high as possible. Method- Use scanner to find stocks that match low float/high growth/high range profile. Visually scan charts for obvious bullish patterns. Usually find at least a few hundred stocks that meet criteria. Feed stocks into a website or program to visually scan patterns displaying more then 10 at a time on-screen. I use prophet.net.
