They have actually expanded coverage to smaller accounts. IB has three levels of security that is based based on account size - In order of security strength: 1) "Bingo Card" - a manual lookup device http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/general/bingoHelp.php?ib_entity=llc 2) "Silver" - Similar to the hacked RSA device but made by Secure Computing http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/general/alpineHelp.php?ib_entity=llc 3) "Platinum/Gold" - A two level challenge response device also made by Secure Computing http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/general/goldHelp.php?ib_entity=llc You can opt out of the program if you wish.
