oh come on....that's nonsense. He wouldn't be waiting for UN agreement in that case. It doesn't even sound like Obama was too keen on getting involved, so I judge him poorly for that. But your allegations are a little ridiculous

    they don't say that

there is no shooting in Tripoli and reporters are not allowed to move freely. so those don't really no much

other reporters are in Bengazi and they talk to rebels there. So, of course, rebels tell them horror stories

So it's all not confirmed speculation

The only thing we know for sure - world wants Gadaffi dead because he is bad like Saddam was bad

  5. According to Obama's speech and White House official interpretation, U.S. is not going to use offensive force. It will be interesting to see if 'Old' Europe can still fight.

  6. What about the members that abstained? are they required to send forces and enforce the UN resolution or do they sit on the sideline?

    ie. China, Germany, India

That is just typical of politicians

Too bloody late - Gads tanks and troops have enterred Benghasi. Aircraft bombing will not be any use at all now that the troops and tanks are hiding in the city.

The Chinese and Russians still don't know right from wrong and are largely to blame for such a slow and lame attitude. Many thousands are likely to be massacred thanks to their despicablely weak non effort

  8. That jet was a REBEL plane that was shot down by Gadaffi forces.

The rebels are violating the No-Fly Zone.

  9. don't be a fool. China and Russia could have veto-ed it and that would be the end of the matter, but they didn't.

and if the British want to be heroes, maybe they can try sending in their forces into Bahrain, Yemen(where 45 were just killed yesterday by snipers),Saudi Arabia,Iran and Morocco. Lets see what happens to your pathetic RAF.

  10. In the past... the public was influenced by the news delivering the govt message. With all of the new social networking and video broadcasting technologies disrupting the consistent party line message it will be interesting to see any lies and contradictions called out.

One person armed with the right technologies can raise hell and have his voice propagate much louder than anytime before.

Just watching the main stream media cite ireporters and web videos as their journalistic source is amusing.
