Off course he never called. He can see the trades without calling him. He kept a low profile, played stupid and did nothing that could be a wake up call for the client. Nodody needs to get the tradingsystem, just copycat. How can somebody catch the copycat? I would like to know that but in a very detailed and specific way. Not just "he can complain and investigate everything". Rather an unexpected investigation by an expert who has access to the whole system, all computers and logs from the start of the order till the close of the position. Ridiculing things is no proof it cannot happen. As an example: newwurldmn said: "He often sees vans outside his house Scarface style. He suspects they are trying to capture his WiFi signals. Little do they know he runs fake signals that pretend to go to the brokerage accounts just to garble that up." I posted a link that shows that what he ridicules does happen in real life. Or is the Dutch Intelligence Service, that caught the Russians red-handed, also filled with "tin foil hat" wearers? Here is the link again:https://www.businessinsider.nl/russ...lligence-says-2018-10?international=true&r=US Make an effort and read the article.
There a quite a handful of naive traders that believe it is not possible. When it gets reported these same group become hindsight experts.
I made it all up. I would have thought a site full of traders (whose job it is to figure out how not to be the sucker at the table) would have figured this out.
The job of a trader is being a consistent profitable trader. I am sure a lot of successful traders have no clue how exactly the full procedure works included checks and balances to go from entering an order till the full close of the trade. So they can still be the sucker at the table. Your example was too ridiculous to be taken serious. You played an idiot, so I joined you. I still heard no serious waterproof evidence that it cannot be done. And as you cannot give that proof you switch the discussion into a non relevant direction. I showed proof that if it is important enough (financially, political or any reason) these things can happen. I know that John Henry had problems with these kind of things. His orders and positions were leaked in the 90's and he had to take measures. I knew it from a friend who worked for John Henry at that time. From 2,000 to 25mm in 3years? LOL. The CEO called him and asked the strategy? LOL. The CEO even sent a team to his house? LOL. He had military encryption? LOL. He wired money between the different brokers? LOL. Brokers calling him now every day? LOL. You over-exaggerate the example to try to ridicule the worried people. But as your example has nothing at all to do with a real life situation, your example does not proof anything at all. I invite you now to explain in full details how the procedures work and proof that they are waterproof. Or are you also one of the suckers at the table? My link to the article shows that even while the Russians deny they would ever do this, they were caught red-handed with the full hard proof in their car. You didn't proof anything at all. There are rules, procuders, audits ... but Maddoff could fool the entire world for decades and billions of dollars. But everybody was sure it was impossible.
And when did this whole "hindsight experts" thing happen? Oh, that's right, it didn't. Are you predicting the future? Care to put some money on that prediction, charity of the other's choice? You seem so very certain that this is a widespread thing despite your complete inability to document even one case (of which there inevitably will be at least a couple) let alone widespread cases, why don't you put your money where your mouth is? If you're not sure enough to do that then for cripes sake just STFU about it. Seriously, take off the tinfoil hat and enjoy your life instead of cowering in suspicion and achieving nothing. For your own good.
Mr "it will never happen" , look at the thread title. Why are you sticking around if you have nothing to contribute to the topic? Btw the Mr "it will never happen" of this world do not contribute to the leap in advancement of technology. They leech onto the brilliant findings of those that never say never. Sending someone to Space (possibility) was never thought possible until it happened(news). Reactive people (affected by news) rarely make successful traders. It is the proactive ones that anticipated the future news in advance that are often times successful.
There is an obvious difference between having the vision to see the impossible as possible and striving for it vs believing in irrational fears. In fact, the former set of people don’t get caught up in irrational fears like “a broker is going to steal my retail strategy.”
@ sig. It did not happen to you because your idea was random luck or pure beta replicator. Do not kid yourself. It will happen. If the senators jeopardize their entire "political career" to liquidate before the Covid19 sell off, you must be a fool to think the borkers (or their staff) are not tempted by the same desire.
