I'm with you for the most part. From the early days (and I mean circa 530 BC) when the Greeks invented Democracy, they realized that those elected would not be the very brightest in a specialized sense (fastest to speak or count or figure out an engineering problem) but leaders who would encompass qualities shared by the majority of the citizens, generalists who would be seen as being one of the people. And that was fine, given that leaders have the opportunity to hire specialists and get the job done. But when you have the best of the best at your disposal and you're still blaming your predecessor (like O is doing) then you're the wrong person for that position, period.
You mean Reagan? Yes, he was a great president but I don't talk about him much, may he rest in peace.
And the ever expanding immensity of here, right? I know more near-meaningless cliches: "Win-win situation", "Thinking outside of the box", "Giving 110%", "Best Practices", "Synergy", "Paradigm Shift", "At the end of the day,...", "Low-hanging fruit", "Going forward", "Push the envelope", "Paradigm shift", The 80%-20% rule, "Value-added proposition", "A leading provider of...", "Maximize customer satisfaction", "Best of Breed", "Spending more time with my family", "Core competency", "Let's take this off-line", "Drop the ball", "Take it to the Next Level", "It is what it is", "Maximize leverage", "Scalable", "Brings a lot of value to the table", "Let's hit the ground running", "Bring our 'A' game . . . ", "Seamless integration", "Work it 24/7", AND, of course, the ever popular: "Drinking Kool-Aid!"
