Do Eurex trades, specifically ESTX50 (Dow Jones Euro 50) futures and futures options qualify? I know there are some issues with ICE trades not qualifying, but I thought some foreign exchanges have been certified by the Treasury department as good for Sec. 1256, such as the SPI in Sydney. Eurex in the bunch? Btw, my broker, IB, is listing all my ESTX 50 futures options trades as equity options on my statements, so I'm also wondering if this was deliberate, because of taxes, or a typical IB glitch.
