  3. I finished my studies ages ago. and I still don't trade. But I work with traders. some with over 15 years in the business. what Im telling you is black and white. you can ignore it, laught at it, call it entertainment, or you can try it. there is nothing to lose and if you get it, you benefit for yourself.

It's great to be skeptical of any views etc. but sometimes when you're too arrogant to beleive anything at all, you miss on some great things. And it is often people like this who make mistakes all the time. not only in trading.

  4. i`m a very open minded individual & willing to absorb anything worth while & then decipher value from trash......while what you describe here may have some intrinsic value, the problem is the source from which it comes.
you may have your doctorate in psychology & work with IB`s or whatever it is you may do but you have no idea what it takes to succeed in the trading arena until you muster up your own hard earned money & put your stones on the chopping block day in & day out.....until then, your opinions & theories are worthless.

the only arrogance i see here is coming from you.there are many here that struggle day in & day out lose their money to those whom have solved themselves...not the markets....for you to come on here & state as a matter of fact that a monkey can make money trading is insulting to those i`v just mentioned as well as those of us whom have stood the TRUE test of time.

there are those that do & those whom can`t ,so they preach......you are neither because you have not even had the stones to try.....you don`t know what it feels like to take serious heat on a trade or to get stopped out on hi/lo tick of the day only to see the trade go your way.....all the way.....or how you would handle a losing streak that feels like you will never find another winner because you can`t focus properly.emotionally, you would fold like a blanket despite all of your pretty degrees.

why you feel compelled to post here is beyond me unless your trying to obtain some recognition.i would`nt give Lawrence Taylor advice on how to play OLB or Wayne Gretzky how to find the 5 hole on the goalie.so why would you give advice on something you`ve never experienced?

EXPERIENCE is the only teacher in this game & there are no masters or doctorates to increase ones salary............we`re all just students of "the game"..........which is something that you are not nor will ever be unless you put your money where your mouth is.

  5. Thank you for your posts Bats.

At least someone took the time to mention it.

Good trading (or training, as the case may be),

  6. I agree, "trading is one of the most difficult and competitive profession known to man" that is precisely the reason why 95% of the participants ends up lossing their investment. Advice using the zen philosophy of "no mind" or NO THINKING in trading is better said than done. Perhaps It take years of meditation to conquer the mind. The mind is mysterious and it jumps from one idea to another faster than the speed of light. To trade without using the mind is indeed very difficult.

Oh yeah, been there done that regarding martial arts. The best schools are directed towards bringing out the sense T in students, some students take 30 days, some 30 years. I was more in the 30 day category, once I was standing there, a guy is coming after me with all sorts of stuff, I just sort of got his arm and spun him around and ran him into the wall with zero thinking and almost no effort. It was too cool. I just stood there afterwards wondering how I did that. Once you got it you got it, right now if somebody punched at me I would be going right back up that punching arm getting control of their balance and going for their neck before they or I could even think about it.

I used to trade with it, really small stuff, for fun, one morning I just had alarms going off in my head so I sold a position. I got out at the top, I was the top print for the day.

I would not want to live like that however, it's more the scared animal way forward than the the masterful trader way.

I think your point is valid as it addresses to one of the most difficult thing in trading - pulling the trigger.

Remember the first week I started to trade live - it was like 5 consecutive winers and then I had two losses the following week- lack of discipline, all my fault. After that, in order to pull the trigger again took me a lot of effort. I waited I believe like two more weeks so I could get back in track again.

People are entitled to their opinion. I won't say is the secret as trading involves more than pulling the trigger. But as I said, the point is valid and I believe many traders experience this fear especially when you hit a series of losses.

  9. That is pathetic. plus you make trading sound A LOT LOT harder than it really is. and that's probably because it's hard for you - because you're bad at it and you are arragont. Experience is nothing but memory. It's people like you that spent years trading and yet fail to fully meet their potential.

maxpi mentioned martial arts. The truth is all great sports men have a very strong T-sense. From Football to Tennis players. This is exactly the reason why they can also be great traders. Some banks even actively search for those who are active in competitive sports - not becuse it teaches you trading or GIVES YOU ANY TRADING EXPERIENCE, but because it has developed your T-sense.

feb2865 T-sense is not just about pulling the trigger. you know some wise kids that grow up in tough neighbourhoods know who not to trouble in the wrong circumstances. It's that element of smelling the situation. It is the general comprehension in short space of time and making a firm decision.
