probably, market makers haven't been able to make money with the penny spread

 

the article reads as though, it will only be in thinly traded stocks...

 

Don't know about Penny Stocks. Wasn't trading them. Most real firms weren't.

 

it didn't apply to stocks under $1.00

try shorting a stock with a 1/16 or a 1/8 spread. now it is the easiest thing in the world. but then again some of the posters on this thread are "masters" only on the long side.

maybe they will bring back bullets. what a joke.
