SEC fees

    In other words.... $.000039 X the dollar value of the sale.

    Nope. Fees decreased yesterday:

    "Effective April 1, 2004, the Section 31 transaction fee rate for fiscal 2004 will decrease from the current rate of $39.00 per million to a revised rate of $23.40 per million. "

  5. This is great news. I also thought that the rate had just changed from something like 46.80 per mill down to 39 per million. That was better then nothing.


    From 39 to 23.40 is substantial. Very glad to hear of the news.

    That's more than a few grand a year for an active trader!
     
  8. The Section 31 fee rate applicable to securities transactions on the exchanges and Nasdaq changes every April 1st.

    There is also an interm change that goes into effect starting generally in December, January or February.

    So 0.0000234 should be with us until at least the end of 2004.
