I was looking at the historical levels the SEC fee. Apparently the period of 0.000025~ wasn't too bad compared to some of the rates pre 2005. I was wondering how market makers function with these fees in place? They took up a large chunk of the rebate when it was at 25$ per mm. Does anyone know if market makers are exempt from the SEC Fee? Thanks
