SEC fee for 2010

  1. Hello everybody,

I would like to know when (and if) is the SEC going to apply its new rate?

For the last months it's been $25,70 per million $ sold. I believe that they are going to decrease it to $12,70 per million $ sold, but does anybody know when?? they said the new rate was going to be effective October 1st, 2009,
or five days after the date on which the Commission receives its fiscal year 2010 regular appropriation or 30 days after the date of enactment of the Commission’s regular fiscal year 2010 appropriation, whichever date comes later.

I would really appreciate some help with this issue, since this change would mean a nice improvement of my salary.

Thanks in advance from Barcelona, Spain.

In addition, effective Jan. 15, 2009, the Section 31 fee rate applicable to securities transactions on the exchanges and over-the-counter markets will decrease to $12.70 per million dollars
