ahhhh, but the summers are beautiful. Nothing better than sitting atop Mercer Island and seeing beautiful Lake Washington with sail boats and water skiers. Or sit over looking Puget Sound. Or driving into the Cascades, seeking and finding a secluded spot by one of the rivers.

As a teenager, Greenlake was a premier spot to be. Or water skiing on Lake Washington. Or wrestling the waves on Puget Sound.

  3. Slapshot,

A close friend of mine here (Seattle) has the
same view on life that you do.....weather is
more important in his life than most of us. He
allows it to determine his outlook. It's
unfortunate. But at the same time, if we all liked
the same places and the same style,
we would all crowd into one area and make it
an unbearable place. So good luck to you.
I love it here. After growing up in Sarasota FL
and working in Tampa, I'm very happy I made
the change in the middle of the stream that is
    my life.

    Happy Trading,
    jd

PS I really like Tucson. Do you get down there much ?

  4. Hmmm... Hope you don't cook to death during the summer...
I have a lot of relatives who have retired and live in Arizona
and they all come up here in early summer to get away from
the heat... And then they go back to Arizona in early October
to get away from the cold and rain in Seattle... :D
