Brett reminds me of a 30K millionaire. Someone who earns 30K and acts like they are worth a few million by renting expensive status symbols. In his case he probably makes 300K but he acts like he is worth 10s of millions. Perhaps one day, if his firm ever manages a few billion, he will be able to cream enough off to be really worth that kind of money. But at the moment he is faking it..
So what? Like the line from Boiler Room, "act as if". The difference between Brett and Sykes, is the obnoxious level. As long as someone is putting out the effort and shows some integrity, I don't mind, actually would prefer, a little bit of showmanship. Everyone wants to see a confident person, even though they may know the real truth. I really like how he joined the car club. He gets to ride the hottest cars, projects a positive image and doesn't need to worry about maintenance.
lwlee, Is there a car club out there for Volkswagens so I don't have to worry about the maintenance on my Touareg either? Brett is a d-bag.
http://www.gothamdreamcars.com/new-york-city/exotic-car-rental.htm $28k a month to rent a car , bad deal
although it still could be better, all in all, i feel that this season is a lot better than the first. im satisfied.
ever noticed their opening theme song? its catchy.., high energy.., would be nice to play that on the trading desk.... good motivation... maybe then I could get a Mercedes Coupe, and fancy cell phone rig, and drive up the West Side Highway, up the Saw Mill Parkway, through Route xxxx to my manicured sub-division home.... just maybe then, if only I just play the same theme song....
I'm a broker in the South and when I watch how Lance and his buddy work, I couldn't possibly think of opening accounts strictly over the phone. I've never lived in a big city so can someone tell me if that is how it's done. Down here we have face to face meetings before assets change hands. Thanks.
