stop hatin. comparing broker to PE General Partner is like comparing surgeon to chiropractor. no offence to your brother or chiropractors.
I myself like the pit stuff best. Always get exited when i see the action going on there. All the yelling and shouting, people almost pushing each other for getting their orders placed. Too bad that this will be history pretty soon. Second best is the rookie at SMB. Although they should show more in depth information about what she is trading, where exactly she has difficulties and so on. The stories about the canadian fund manager are not that interesting from a traders point of view. Maybe his job is mainly networking, dunno. But besides that one meeting with this bank guy i havent seen him working.
Good episode last night... Just wondering if anyone has figured out what firm the two boiler room brokers work for? I'm sure it is probably something like Gold, Man and Sacks, Inc or something like that. Anyone know?
Thanks. I guess we get to see next week what happens to their SNDK position. From looking at the chart, they should have had enough time to get their clients out with profits before the big drop started in Sept. There definitely were enough warning bells. Maybe if they made the company some money they would be able to get some decent screens to work off. Their setup looks straight out of the 1990s. I love the crappy TV sitting on top of the vertical filing cabinets. I used to have one just like it in my college apartment.
I wouldnt be surprised if they encourage their clients to add even more SNDK . Lance may be a good salesman but he never heard of diversification. Remember when he said that his future lies in the hands of SNDK, thats ridiculous. Regarding these boiler room guys im with Larry the pit trader. the best advice to give somebody: stay away from those cold calls, if you get any cold call, hang up the phone!
Last nights episode was boring. No follow up on the O.J. pit trader. Latitia visiting her family in France. Options girl hanging in N.J. Broker guys doing their thing. Texas Lance is painful...a total J-bag. The other broker is o.k. Fund guy doing more b.s. (although I give him props for the cancer fund raiser). Does he ever work? Is he ever on time? Does he have any real net worth or does he just put on a good facade? Anyone know?
Laetitia may not be working at SMB Capital anymore, however she seems to be dabbling in forex these days. I did some googling and the following blog popped up: http://www.forextradingblog.com/wall-street-warrior/
