What I learnt from episode #3:

    1. If you are a coldcaller, "getting wood" is not a reason for excitement. (my fav educational info)

    2. The traders in the pits actually hate each other. (as opposed to the cottonpit)

    3. After hundreds of years, buy low sell high is still a viable strategy.

    4. The best way to release stress in the pit is to mess with interns.

    5. Red sportscars are still hot and pretty. You can also used them on the cheap.

    6. When you are talking big money, it is obligatory to have a cigar....

Joking aside, this was so far the best episode and there was good info in the daytrading segment (they seem to be good at teaching) and the trader with glasses, who also says in the promo: "If you are getting a coldcall, just hang up the phone." He also said "Don't force the market, there is sometimes a time just to wait, and do nothing."

    Worthless segment: coldcallers playing baseball...

That first site is garbage. Who wants to pay that much money to drive a beat up first generation Viper? Not only that, the 355 is likely very high mileage.

A similar 355 can be picked up for about $65-75k any day of the week. Big deal.

The F430 the PE guy was driving in an earlier episode has a sticker that, depending on options, can be $189k-$240k

Remember, the F355 came out 13 years ago...they can't be compared.

I actually thought some of the training was pretty bad. Why would you try to get traders to force ideas for trades before the market opens? I don't know anyone successful trading like that. Also trying to teach supply and demand for LII is a dead strategy, along with guessing what large block prints mean for a trade. You can see the trainees eyes glazing over when they are being taught this stuff. Makes me wonder about how successful these managers really are. Maybe there's better stuff that they just aren't showing.

The one thing that I thought was cool was the headsets for group idea sharing.

Unfortunately Amazon doesn't allows downloads to addresses outside the U.S. Any other sources? Nothing found on Google, or YouTube.

  10. Dustin,
I sat in with them for an hour or so. They're not really trying to force ideas before the mkt opens..just looking at a 'stocks to watch ' sort of thing. Earns plays etc....that being said..it was my watching for an hour that I realized the group wasn't for me because I didn't think I'd learn anything from them. I'm sure there are other things they teach that I didn't see but somehow I felt going there would be liek Chuck Norris signing up for intro Karate. Ok, did I just compare my self to Chuck Norris? :) My Dad sparred w/ him..so it's all good.

I thought the headset idea was great too. A couple of years ago I was on a voice chat that I thought was good. It wasn't a pay service or any silly thing. Just a few of us traders poitning out movers.
    Who's up for voice chat?
