“I invested so much of my time and money in the company because I believe Sears has a future,”... It's hard for a company to have a future if you keep selling off its highest profit-potential assets but inject no additional funds to invest in new business venues for rebranding its core business.
It's almost like the primary shareholder and largest creditor were the same entity...and drained the equity to creditors at shareholders' expense.
