I have some stupid search engine called search-click.com that all of a sudden appeared as my home page. I've tried deleting it in Tools, Internet Options, and typing my old page back in, but this thing keeps coming back. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
get adaware or spybot search and destroy.. run both periodically http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,22262,00.asp
Sounds like tracker software. Check the system registry - do a search for any key containing seach-click.com and then change them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'im running the current version of Ad-Aware, but it's not catching it. I'll check the registry.
Send an email to abuse@search-click.com and threaten to sue them for writing harmful code to your computer and demand they send you instructions to remove their crap right now! If "abuse" bounces back send to webmaster and postmaster @ the same. Also, there is a program called CW Shredder that is supposed to be able to remove it free at http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html#cwshredder
