What else needs to be covered? All of the information has been out for years. The only difference I can see is that jack has been trying to make it easier and easier to understand for people who do not think critically.
Sure. But if everything is already covered why did Jack (for the first time) create a (new) thread!? There are certain levels of SCT trading and there is a progression to get there and certain drills to do. Until which level does he want to take this thread? For example does he want to cover all 12 leading indicators of price? If this is how far he wants to take SCT learning then I agree with Paddler then let's use the time remaining and start a "SSR learning from scratch" or "PVT learning from scratch". Jack, what do you need from us?
Surprise to see another one interested in SSR method. But skip "PVT learning from scratch" please. The easy-to-learn method has been covered extensively during 2007's Tucson meetup period. Nothing new has been added since then.
Oh, it's just an abbreviation for Move Reversal, which to my understanding is basically a turn that has been observed in the past at least once as being a primary fractal turn. Hence the dates and bar numbers for each of the turns listed on the Move Reversal sheet. The sentiment refers to the slope of the current 30m tape, either long or short, which is used as an easy way to see the big picture of how the trading fractal is trending at the moment. If these two things are at odds with each other, you'll see the 'Sideline' annotation depicted on Jack's charts. -- Also, to ff: I didn't intend to be dismissive towards your post, so I apologize if that's the way I came across. I believe Jack has posted all of the relevant content needed to trade the current iteration of his system, which has been presented multiple times in it's entirety over the years as well. If I am perceiving correctly, this thread has been created with the purpose of supporting the learning of how the market operates. My advice would be to reference a post number in this thread and ask a question about it as has been requested if there is more you would like to learn or see covered here.
this is the open call. Today (thursday, 15May14) the open will be long. Specifically, we are beginning the third move of a long on bar 81 of yesterday. This is the end of the CW's "retrace" where the market goes into a move to the FTT of the long. So the second trade after entry will be short where the market goes from dominant long to dominant short. for those who have trouble with opens, wait until the new short trend appears and take it short and exit on the first move of the short trend. yesterday there were 4 moves in the first 6 5-min bars.
Nicely done and communicated ahead of time! And a quick question... Generally speaking, how many trades do you take daily, on average? I'm curious because I use faster time frames and I'm working on some filter stuff... of course the simplest filter would be to use a higher time frame, lol, but there are some things that just can not be learned without taking the long way around. Thanks, Steve
here is a followup on the oopen annotating. As you see there were many trades in the first six 5 min bars Also note I put in the essential trading facts first and at my leisure I add the details.
