His student must not be trading. Last time I looked you could not execute trades on the symbol @ES, although you can create a chart or quote on it FWIW.
From the first post of this Journal: This is a journal for answering questions of persons who are trading using the SCT approach and who have made the commitment to passforward their knowledge and share profits with people who are solving problems in their local community. Etc, etc..... I have made requests to have posts of detractors removed from this thread to no avail. That's the way it is in ET. Personally, the detractors posts are a laugh to me. The threads I first participated in were 80% flaming and that is always going to be part of what sets the quality of ET with respect to some kinds of contributors and their detractors. I am requesting that the moderator get the posts I complained about off this journal. When that is done, delete this post also. TIA.
Hi Jack, The presence of detractors are always a sign that you are doing something right Im currently studying everything that you have ever written on trading. Some of the ideas in your methodology are priceless Thanks for taking the time to post Goinglite
Search for "2 Pair". This is the information that is numero uno for me on DOM charts. The "2 Pair" isolates where indecision is prevailing in direction. Either the existing will resurge or the new direction will STICK. What you are looking for in a 2 Pair is the "STICKINESS" of the dominant pair. Honestly, it will be difficult to "KNOW" what you are looking at unless you understand the context in which it is happening. I understand because I have created and corroborated these tools with what I had teased out logic wise. It's similar to the difference between theorhetical physicist and experimental physicist. I spend time identifying the logical theory and then construct the tools that CLEANLY isolate and verify the concept. The idea of a "2 Pair", although ridiculed by most as nonsensical is one of the more effective tools for identifying the immediate "RIGHT" side. To be more explicit, the "RIGHT" side is immediately identified by seeing the DOMINANT pair of the "2 Pair". Do some searching on the forum to figure what you do or don't understand about the "2 Pair" so that you can understand whether or not it makes sense. Most do not find any sense in the concept and even fewer know what to look for... Regards, MAK
Thanks Mak but I did not get any results for 2 pair. edit: check that. I did get quite a few on "two pair".
Two pair is a 3 tick reversal in the ES. I am planning a new Hershey thread on it. It will happen at every top, every bottom and in the middle as well. If it "STICKS" then it called a swing extreme, if not it callled a continuation or near extreme. So you can see how extremely useful it is. Good Luck BB. BTW have you tried the Emergency Exit drill yet ? Its a stone cold winner man !!.........snicker
Grab yourself a free order entry platform (I use the NinjaTrader ladder [super DOM I think they call it] as a visual tool) in order to view in real-time the changes which take place. For starters, observe the changes in the DOM occurring at specific support / resistance levels (Daily / Weekly Pivots, 20 SMA, etc. - Pick your poison). The changes to which I refer do not present themselves in subtle fashion. These changes materialize in specific, stark and unmistakable terms. Chicken Little would have you believe you need to search for an ant crossing an expressway, when in reality, one can see the signals as easily as if an elephant walked in between you and your monitor. Good Journey to You. - Spydertrader
You see how the fowl f'd up the concept. He talks about a spike when we talk about a 2Pair. This is the problem we face in ET and largely why I have ZERO tolerance for the fowl like. A 2Pair is a 2Pair, not a SPIKE... Before a spike one pair of the 2Pair STICKS and then SPIKES... SNICKERS! MAK
