screw the futures, S&P will finish LOWER friday

Which instrument or ETF is that?

I bet my $$, sold the opening, sold stocks that opened 5-6 pts higher. And guess what, i'm having a huge winning day, at it's only 11am.

 

ahhh...market coming down nicely...will it fill the gap? hmmm... I say we close positive, but marginally...

Wrong on this thread, but up +.5% on my trading acct today from selling the opening.

 

Right for the wrong reasons?

 

Not exactly sure what that means, but i have felt the last few days that S&P 1490-1500 was a top.
That's my only reason. Anyway, I take lucky over smart every day of the week.

An earlier post said, "... I say [the SP500] will finish friday lower than 1469.72. If it closes at 1469.73, i'm wrong ...". It appears you will be "wrong", yet are still profitable for the day. If profitable = right, then you are right even though the quoted forecast was wrong. Correct?

 

In theory, yes. but let's wait til 4pm to see if I had the S&P lower thing right as well.

 

I wonder if everyone who gave you shit this morning plans on returning to offer their congratulations if the market keeps heading lower ....
