Exactly, remember the homeless numbers that were thrown around in the Reagan years? At one point, 5 million was a popular number..... But later on, I remember an interview with a guy that was high up in the New York? committee or whatever that studied the homeless, and he admitted that they flat lied about the number to get better funding..... which of course doesn't mean more people being helped, just more liberal beaureacrats being given tax dollars to fund their lifestyle of hanging out at the coffee shops...
