Look muppet... the only one here talking about scalping is you... And I do know what the f I'm talking about... how is my math flawed exactly? If you want to do a similar trade, 1 FESX point/tick is 4 FDAX points... which is 8 ticks.... if you want to get out of a losing FESX on 2 ticks... you would've already gone out in the dax at 5 ticks... and therefore lost less. Also, FDAX moves more... therefore enhancing your ability to scalp, since you're not waiting for you offer to finally tick. FDAX jumps up and down 3-5 points all the time... so yes, you can do that. The way I trade, I find it easier to trade the dax. If you want to lean on the book, probably eurostoxx is better... but don't think it's not possible in the dax... Scalping isn't for everyone either... since you need to be really on top of your scratches... which I doubt OP and most traders are...

So? I do too... doesn't mean I'm trying to scalp. IMO scalping is taking 1 or 2 ticks within a 1 minute time period, or probably even seconds. While I don't mind taking that now and then, I trade a larger range based on orderflow and volume... but I'm definitely not scalping.
