  1. It seems that a lot of people on this board have differening opinions on this subject than Landis82. He's one of the few lone holdouts who seriously think it's a good idea to be bent over a barrel by given a ream job by Wall Street as Paulson thows his hands-up and says "no mea culpa".

He can just send them his $2,334.00 directly, LOL. :p :D

  2. True, but he is only as good as the liquidity and the opportunity that "price-discovery" presents . . . If at some point these securities get "cleared" by a clearing house, you are going to have a HUGE win/win situation for everyone involved. You will have accountability and transparency - - - instead of the absurd OTC marketplace that existed for mortgaged-backed securities in the past.

Ha. "Price discovery" for a house doesn't need help.

    $300,000 no bid.
    $200,000 no bid.
    $100,000 1 bid.

    There, price discovery.

  5. Paulson also said:

"I don’t see (subprime mortgage market troubles) imposing a serious problem. I think it’s going to be largely contained,”
    April 2007

    Paulson is an Idiot

    Landis82, you have no clue.

You are very lucky to live such a sheltered life ...

    He is either :
    1) Heavily in financial stock or bonds.
    2) His 2008 bonus depends on a reversal of financial stock or bonds.
    3) Works in GS, MS or any one of the SIFMA members.

  7. Coming from someone that admittedly doesn't TRADE for a living, you once again make an absurdly ridiculous point. Congratulations . . . I bet you were around trading the markets in 1981/1982 as well.

  10. Wrong again CLOWN.

I was trading options on PPP, TDY, and Sante Fe Industries, not too mention stock-index futures on the NYFE at 5 lots a clip over the phone in 1981/1982 from my broker's office before being hired in 1984 by Victor Sperandeo to work one of his seats on the NYFE.

But thanks for allowing me to educate you, one more time.

    You are on IGNORE.
    :p
