Score another one for the good guys. No officers charged in Breonna Taylors death

  1. agree. This had nothing to do with race but everything to do with allowing her ex to conduct criminal activity in her home and everything to do with a criminal opening fire on police.

I don't think the guy Walker was a criminal. In fact he was licensed to carry. They also had a location on Glover before that search.

The cops could have waited for the morning and these people to leave. This whole "destroy the evidence".... that works good in Hollywood but flushing any meaningful amount of drugs down a toilet is not going to work. They'll pull it right out of there later. Besides, why would they flush it if the cops were being low key?

None of us were privy to all the details, but it sure sounds to me like the whole operation was a little to gung-ho.

  3. The purpose of a search warrant is the element of surprise. Thays why they are done late at night or very early in the morning. You dont conduct search warrants or arrests when its convenient for the criminal.

No, the purpose of a search warrant is to get legal permission to search private property. A no-knock warrent is what you are referring to which in fact they did have. They could have arrested that Glover guy, maybe kick the door down where he was, but I see no reason they couldnt have used a little more discretion on the other locations. Knock, identify yourself, and then if they don't let you in, go for it. As I said, it would be a matter of minutes and any meaningful amount of narcotics can't be destroyed. Plus cash. Plus guns.
You can bet LE and judges nationwide will be examining the process/requirement for these types of warrants going forward. Even if they thought the guy was in there, he's not getting away. In this case however they knew he wasn't.

They did not execute a no-knock warrant.

Wrong, that would be a no-knock warrant as was the case here and why it's a garbage precedent to issue willy nilly.

Hell, one could argue the value of no-knock warrants isn't worth the encroachment on civil liberties

  8. That's bullshit, and you know it. Meanwhile, "Score another one for the good guys?" Can you really defend that thread title?

  9. Someone who voted for Trump should probably not go around making fun of other people's physicality, don't you think?
