Update... Day 2 of impending Covid Wave Countdown. Lots of protestors without social distancing in San Diego on Sunday. No news on a Covid spike, hospitalizations or death. No Covid symptoms today for anyone in my family yet. Note... My 80 year old father in law had lunch with us at the burger place over the weekend I did not know what he was thinking so I waited to talk to my wife about it. Given the stats... I do believe he is high risk for serious illness and death. He lost his wife about 3 or 4 weeks ago to a different illness, He sees this as a no lose. He enjoys what is left of his life or he is with his wife.
Here is a nice format for san diego data... it could be particularly useful because they are keeping track of testing.... age distribution... if it is accurate. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/tracking-coronavirus-cases-san-diego-county
Made me smile, I'm almost as good on the sax. I don't play is at all but I have made similar sounds on one Killing me my new Yamaha silent classical guitar has been in my main apartment for three months and me at the farm. I could have been practicing.
At the link https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/tracking-coronavirus-cases-san-diego-county you see there are no deaths for those under 19 years of age and only 1 death under 30. So as I stated... from the evidence this shutdown has screwed with the lives of our school kids and significant way when this virus never presented evidence that it was more than a flu to them. Arrangements could have been made to protect teachers and still allow our children to participate in school and sports and all the activities kids participate in. 2. And if you recall our county supervisor said there were only 6 pure Covid deaths 3. San Diego never had more than 479 Covid patients using beds. At all times our hospitals had thousands of unused beds. (and during this time hospital staff has been laid off and hours reduced by 50 percent for many) There was never a shutdown like this in all of our history... And if you look at the numbers.... in San Diego it was never warranted. There was no science or data supporting this action in San Diego. But... to our local leaders credit... some did put pressure on newsome to re-open ahead of Newsome schedule once the data started becoming public.
Disclosure :you’re a Woos. The beaches have been open for days, stop being such a drama queen. I was @ a bar/restaurant in PB. All the wait staff wore masks. Drinks were flowing.
Percent positive tests the last 3 days 3.10, 2.99 and today 2.91. Will it start turning up. It should. So many of us were out without masks. Is this virus really about super spreaders and clusters or will all the activity since Memorial day result in more infections very soon? https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/tracking-coronavirus-cases-san-diego-county the site gives a the 14 day rolling average or percent positive tests. This will be an excellent tool to see if there is a spike up in the next few weeks. I hope it stays accurate.
san diego update not much changed with the stats many more tests... 1/100 tick higher in the average percent positive number. - had brunch this morning at a very good breakfast place we have been to in the past. spoke with owner she has been open for a week she said its been slow, but its ok since she has to seat every other table anyway none of the patrons were wearing masks even the senior citizens
