Science vs Republicans

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Whynottrade, Jun 6, 2020.

  1. Here is an idea. Tell people that Democrats will abolish the police. Police are no longer required in modern society. This will persuade them to vote for Democrats. Don't bother debating anyone. Just say "Abolish The Police! Vote for Democrats!". Tell everyone you know. Spread the word. Democrats have the edge in 2020.

No need to reply or thank me for the advice, you are welcome.

Do you always swallow what is spoon-fed to you? Notice the title of this youtube video (may be gone) and start watching around the 2:00 mark to hear what he said exactly. Of course he turned out to wrong in his/others projection but ... words matter.

I do know science and I do know a dodge. And I'm not talking about the vehicle.

The opportunity we all have is to view politics as a competition of ideas, not people or parties. Seen like that, there is no enemy, just alternative actions.

  7. He made a prediction , as you said and as the graphic I posted indicates; and he was wrong. The graphic I posted and the video you posted both indicate the same things. Should a bibliography be attached to Al's quote to list the "experts" that he cites to form his opinions on climate change? Al is responsible for the words he chooses to parrot. Words do matter, please use them to explain what issue you have with what I posted. Feel free to address AOC's positions also. We are discussing science after all.

You've read some of the discussions here. How can we fix this?

This may sound funny, but the only thing, imo, that can unite this country is a charismatic and intelligent leader. You need both qualities. The leader doesn't necessarily have to be sitting in the oval office.
