Science vs Republicans

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Whynottrade, Jun 6, 2020.

  1. The debacle in Florida, Texas and Arizona could have been avoided if the sycophants were not in charge.

Antiscience Republicans refuse to institute a mask mandate and try to obfuscate the issue by making weak statements saying wear a mask.

At the same time, this is what they do

"In Charlotte, Trump and the RNC had demanded that the convention be allowed to move forward with a full crowd and no face coverings."

Anti Science Republicans are a danger to our country's prosperity.

  2. racists like trump and DeSantis emboldens people like you to share these kinds of racist bs. The arc of history will force you to stop. It always does. Republican support for racism will be the undoing of the party.

Does it feel like science has been under attack in federal policy lately? It isn’t your imagination. As of this month, the Trump administration has attacked science more than 100 times—more than any other administration since the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) began tracking.

For prosperity of our kids and grandkids Republicans should be voted out.

First, there's no debacle. Don't believe the hype. Second, the rise in cases (which aren't translating to deaths, thank God - hence the "no debacle") is due to reopening, not your obsession with masks. Masks help, but this was really driven by reopening. Other states will eventually get a second wave as well, though it might be more muted.

And lastly, mask mandates were put in at the local level in cities and populous counties. The decision to not enforce a statewide mandate doesn't bring results like you're whining about.

Do us both a favor and don't procreate. Problem solved.

As for the "attacks on science", I note this about the site claiming the attacks:

The Union of Concerned Scientists is more of a political activist group then a scientific information resource.
    Gee, what a surprise.

Conservatives aren't happy unless they can make you not do something. Like abortion. Because they know better, of course.

We all know abortion is immoral. Even you.

If you were being honest, even for a minute, you could admit that is is ludicrous to keep schools closed, keep the economy locked down (they added 60 days here today) and to mandate mask usage in a state with 207 total deaths. Its criminal. Its political.

There is absolutely nothing immoral about abortion. This is why we need laws to protect women from prehistoric guys like you who want to inflict their flawed value system on other people.
